Am2+ fan question

I am looking at getting a AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor

can u use a am2 cpu fan there are not many fans that have am2+ compatiblity avalible?

I am getting this prosser and mobo for 430$ how dose that sound new to amd I dont think you can get comparable with intel for same price?

There is alot of AM2/+/3 heatsinks. How much are you looking to spend?

What kind of motherboard are you getting? You can get a 940 for 230 bucks. Sounds like a lot for the motherboard.

Every AM2 Fan Will fit a AM2+ socket the + Just mean its got advanced hyper threading this doesent effect the socket type.
 
Intels new chipsets can do SLI or Crossfire, that is if it has a certain bios or a extra nvidia chip on the board. Unless something has changed since they came out and Intel is letting Nvidia make a 1366 chipset.

Right, AM2/+ sockets are the same. AM2+ boards just have up to 2600/5200 HT and PCIe 2.0. As far as I know the AM3 heatsink bracket is the same, so AM2/+ heatsinks should fit those too. But the AM3 socket is different. AM2/+ have 940 pins, the AM3 only has 938 pins. Keeps you from putting a AM2/+ processor in a AM3 DDR3 board.
