I'm sure the Acer is a matte finish. If it were glossy, they'd definitely let you know.

i have this monitor and have had no problems with it and am very happy with it![]()
but would the 2 inches be that noticeable?
1080p on a 22inch monitor is hardcore and really not worth the upgrade unless you have the extra monezs to spare.
Oh btw a DVI to HDMI convertor has less colour range, and sharpness to it, so if you can try get a video card with an HDMI output and use only that, otherwise you might be dissapointed in your results.
