I can not get the wireless to work or show up anywhere?

For the life of me I am stumped.

I was just given a Dell Latitude C640. I can not get the wireless to work or show up anywhere?

I can not connect to internet via wireless or find setting to see if it is turned on under networking in control panel.
 
lets start from the beginning. If you have wireless router is it turned on.
goto 192.168.1.1 make sure the wireless network is turned on.
try turning on (all) and see if it works. then report back.

As far as I know, the C640 does not have built in wireless, you would need to get a wireless card and put it in the pcmcia port.
