Virus Protection Tests!!

Over My Time here at CF i have found it may be an idea to start a thread which help users choice a Virus protection software

I have started to test how good some of these Virus Programs there are

This is how i am testing them

I have 2 computer to test this on to help make the test more honest
I will Install the chosen Virus protection onto the computer and update it to the most current platform Then i will install 3 Viruses on to the system and see if it picks it up

Please Post below on any Info on my findings

Avg free protection

First Test

Product AVG Anti Virus software (Free Version)

1.Information Site
2.Pros
Free
Easy to uses interface

Cons
Updates need to be done alot

How it performed
1 Virus One - Trojen ( Harmful Rating 6)
Did not pick up until system scan file had duplicated AVG was unable to help on both computers
2 Virus Two Simple Virus ( Harmful Rating 2-3)
Picked up at full scan remove no problem
3 Virus Three - Critical Virus ( Harmful Rating 9)
Total Fail both computers shut-down unable to reboot​
 
i have never had virus protection and i have yet to get a virus, its all a big conspiracy

and what tops it all off, is that you HAD to go and get the virus. lol.

Its no Conspiracy about viruses they are out there you are lucky not to have caught any

Most PC are in there live infected with many Viruses so arrogance is not the answer

One a secondary note
No i did not have to go and find these viruses at all i created one and two where accidental downloaded and stored in an area on my computer (in which they were secure)

luck has nothing to do with it, common sense and a bit of computer knowledge is the best antivirus.
