Sata DVD drives are not any faster.

My SATA DVD Drive sucks when I press it it takes a couple times for it to open it it moves around when it comes out lol

Most likely a problem with your drive. My SATA dvd drive never does that.

I,ve had that happen with IDE drives too, thought they would fly across the room. Its just a bad drive, doesnt have anything to do with Sata or IDE.

I'm just happy that it works I tried to get my sisters IDE HDD to work with computer but It didn't I think the Hard drive was the only thing wrong with her computer but her DVD Drive works great !!

ive had two sata CDRW drives fail on me.....gone back to trusty old IDE.

i gotta agree my IDE has never failed me but im up to my 3rd Sata drive

Hm, I've never had trouble with any DVD drives, SATA or IDE.

i do a lot of burning and other stuff on my computer so im use to the comp burning components lol
