500Gb Hitachi Cinemastar

I wouldn't reccomend anything but western digital or seagate. i don't know much about hitachi really, i've heard both good things and bad.
 
All the warranty in the world won't save your data if the drive fails.

All mechanical drives are susceptible to fail.

Just get the one you want and start doing backups. =D

I second the Western Digital recommendation. I'm a little sketchy with Seagate at the moment.

Overall, Hitachi makes great hard drives. They may not win a drag race, but they hold up well.
 
Okay thanks,According to the reviews its a pretty good hard drive,it actualy has a Western digital drive in it.

That doesn't surprise me. I know Toshiba makes hard drives, but the only actual drives they manufacture are 1.8" and 2.5". I was kind of curious who they might have gone with for the 3.5" to fill that case. :)
