Slow browser after a suddem :(

How comes my internet browser (IE7) is becoming so slow after a sudden - it used to be alright antil i started going on it today.
when i log on my pc and access the browser it takes 40 seconds+ for Google to load, it says "detecting proxy settings" but they are set to automatically detect them.

I delete my cookies, internet temp files, temp files, and cache like every friday.

IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN SPEED UP MY IE7?
PLEASE HELP.

i do not know the answer to your question, sorry, but i can suggest that you download Mozilla Firefox. mostly everybody on here uses it, much faster and sleeker then IE7 for me.

Thanks for your advice but i used to have that, and with 2 browsers installed i thought that would slow down my system.

That's not true if IE7's not running. I've been using Firefox for years while the IE icon sits on my desktop collecting virtual dust. It ALWAYS starts right up whenever I click the icon.
