ive had wireless work on my linux laptop. i installed the madwifi driver, and it works. but ever since i installed vmware, i cant connect to wireless anymore. also, when i click the networking icon in the system tray thing, it only shows wired connection. anyone have any ideas?

I'm sorry man I didn't get home till late last night. I can say if you want a really quick response head over to the ubuntu forums and ask there. I know how to do it but I don't remember the commands off of the top of my head.

dude anything for a fellow 311 fan. your laptop is looking for the old software to connect. GOTO :control panal/admin options/services/wireless zero config/ stop/ start/ ok/ apply. Then right click on wireless comp in system tray and walla, find network hit connect type wep or whatever. USE WINDOWS TO CONNECT.
