Power supply readings

Alright i am a little worried about my PSU readings, all are fine, only .03 at most out, but my -12V is causeing a little concern as it is at -16.72V (says speed fan)

over 33% out, that is a little far, or is supposed to be like that?
 
Alright well i have downloadede everest but cant for the life of me find where the psu area on it is, could you lend me a hand finding it please?

I've found it, but it doesn't show the -12V reading at all nor the 12V because it says it is only a trial, which it is

Oh crap, i forgot that the trial doesnt show -/+ 12v... Do you have a multimeter you could check the voltages with? But more than likely.... the -12v is fine as the +12v is what matters mostly...

unfortunately not, that is why i was going off speedfan.

i think i should point out though that all of the readons on everest are the same on speedfan because they work off the same sensors, so speedfan will have the exact same as everest

Well, i know that speedfan was showing my +12v rail at 11.18v when my dmm and everest both showed +12.1x Volts, so im not sure what was up with that. Like i said before though, more than likely its just fine....

Ye i hope, i will go off the "no news is good news" ethos and should a PSU related issue come up i will know to look there first. Thanks for the help and advice :D

I will put this post in my favourites incase anything to do with the PSU comes up and i will test with them, until then, as i said before, i will just wait until that happens (and hope it doesn't :P)

Thanks for the sites and help though, and a quick question about em, do they test/control others stuff in the system aswell, not just the power supply?
 
Software is dodgy at the best of times to measure your voltages. Based on the above I would disregard the whole lot. Get a multimeter and test the individual rails under load. This is the ONLY way to be conclusive about such measurements.

BTW, what psu do you have?

Corsair TX850. That is why i was surprised to see it so far out (if it is out that is)
 
All brands have issues.

Regardless, the software voltage sensors are a joke.

Get a $20 multimeter from your local hardware, and test the rails underload. You will proabably find it is fine.
