New HP: Suggestions?

I want a few suggestions for a new desktop computer from HP. I will be using it for gaming, schoolwork, and 3D modeling using DAZ Studio.

Thanks, ಠ_ಠ

But who provides better support?

No idea...
I used to know nothing about computer, once there is problem, I ring up those customer service ppl. 9 out of 10 times they could not solve the problem anyway.

That is why I built up the knowledge to a state that I don't need to call them any more.

You have a couple options, order online, go to Best Buy, or build yourself (would be better for gaming and 3d modeling). I would suggest going to Best Buy, every once in a while they have a Dell XPS w/ a 4850 that would suit your needs and the i7 for about a grand. If you skim the flier every once in a while you can find a decent deal at BB on HP.

Tell me about it.

The DELL customer service rep almost talked me into re-installing Windows and wiping out my hard drive to find out that I had a Bad RAM card. Luckily - I had a cousin who could walk me through a few startup menus over the phone and identify the problem.

Budget?
Why HP?
There are other brands provide better price/performance ratio...

Around $800.

Why HP? Because IMO, HP is better than other companies and they offer great support.

Thing is, I live in Saint John, NB. We don't have a Best Buy here. Closest one is in Moncton, and that's an hour and a half away. Nobody's going to drive me up there. I can't drive, I'm only 14! Hence the $800 budget :P

You can always just find a cheap HP with a good processor and just upgrade it. I got mine at a Black Friday sale, $450 with a free monitor, printer, and antivirus. Made the computer come out to about $250. I added 2GB more RAM, a 450W PSU, and an 8800GT. My computer ended up being a $500 build, and it plays every game I throw at it.
