An older Sempron 3400+ Versus a Celeron Processor

I know someone who has two computers. I am curious if one central processing unit has double the processing power over the other.

The two processors in the computers are the following:

Celeron 2.7 Gigahertz Model SL77S using 0.13 micron technology

Sempron 3400+ 2 Gigahertz Socket 754 using 90 nanometer technology

I know the Sempron 3400+ destroys the older Celeron SL77S processor, but I am unable to find any marks on the older Celeron SL77S. Any help?

The Sempron should be faster, my backup rig has a Sempron 64 3100+ and its very fast.

Edit: .13 micron, isnt that the older Celerons?

Id take that Sempron over a Celeron :)

The Semprons for budget processors do have quite alot of punch :),Even back to the Skt A times :)

The system with the Celeron (2.7 Gigahertz) Model SL77S processor in it is painfully slow. When I look at the system monitor using Linux Ubuntu 8.04 it seems as if it is almost always at 100 percent usage on the processor. The system also has 768 megabytes of RAM that is running at around PC-2100 speeds.

Anyone know if the Sempron 3400+ Single-Core processor is twice as fast as the Celeron Model SL77S?
