Ebay Debit Card Issue

I signed up to ebay around summer last year and tonight I have attempted to use it like I have been trying to do for the last month and It ends in disaster trying to sell something. I add all my details to the form and at the end, it asks me to Enter my card information for verification and when I do, ebay then says the folowing thing: "Your card could not be authorised. Please re-enter your card number, card identification and expiry date"

I then re enter all my info and the same thing happens. Any help? I have had my debit card account for about a month and I have used normally in shops and it works. What could be the problem?
 
It could be that your card isn't supported. I know some processing centers won't accept certain ones. An alternative would be to contact them or setup a separate Paypal account.
 
I have set a paypal account up, but its asking me to confirm the account by entering 2 sums of money that it put into my account for authorization. By the way, ebay had "Visa Electron" in the selection box meaning that the card had to be supported right?

Paypal will have diposited 2 small payments into your account,It will be something like 8p and 12p....you have to go into your bank and ask them what paymentss have been paid in this past week by paypal,they should tell you the two amounts and then just log back into paypal and enter those amounts ;)

Its just a security thing from Paypal to make sure that its actualy your bank account.

As for your Ebay question,The verification code is on the back ...is the 3 last numbers.

take a look on the back of your card,where you have that strip to sign your siggy there should be 7 numbers,you need to enter the last 3.

Yes as Nevakonaza said. They deposit 2 tiny amounts into your bank account. It took a while for them to go through in my case but when they did I got like 16 cents and 25 cents deposited in there or something... so I just had to put those 2 numbers into my paypal account to verify it...

I wonder if you could make a few thousand paypal accounts using the same bank account and make yourself a few thousand dollars... :)
