I heard that comcast only allows 250gb bandwith a month is this ture or just to scare people from using to much internet. If you 250gb banwith in a month what will happen I am just wondering??

I have hit about 85gb to 110gb 2 times my connection went to dial up speed I reset the modem speed went back to normal do not if that was because to there gay upload limits or not

Charter has now implemented a 100gb cap for us, which really sucks, i use to download that in a week or 2, funny thing is they are doin the 100gb cap but arent putting a limit so u can go over it, but they send u hate mail pretty much if u do threatening to shut ur internet off, a buddy and i called and asked the guy how exactly are we suppose to monitor that when charter doesnt offer any thing on the site to see what ur at. and the guy told us they havent figured that out yet.. so id take the 250 and be happy

250gb limit is just gay if it were like 650 to 750 gb I think most people woud be happy
In most places in here in the US Comcast is the only good ISP. Someone needs to file a lawsuit against Comcast for this crap

I have 200GB, 5mb/800kb, pay $30 a month. I use max 75GB a month.

Rogers Cable in Canada gives 95GB, 10mb/1mb for $60+/mon.

If you want more than 250GB, move to a place where they have
fiberoptic. One of my contacts in Florida has 10mb/10mb with unlimited
bandwidth for $110 a month.

250gb cap is plenty... most people dont use anywhere near that much per month, and the highest i recorded while i had bandwidth monitor(was curious to see bandwidth i used in a day) was 14gb but i had downloaded ALOT of files that day, normal use i only saw myself using 5-6gb/day.

When costs are coming down for internet use ,companies like this doing this out of greed.I recently made a post where Time Warner is doing this also.People need to stand together to stop this.Competition is needed in areas where there is only 1 or 2 carriers to make prices for services fair again

I hope verizon soon extends the FiOS service, as where i am at right now my options are roadrunner(soon to be capping apparently?) or 5mbps dsl(more like 1mbps actual speed though). We are supposed to be getting the option of at&t uverse fiber soon but even their speeds arent that great...(slower than roadrunner).

Where do you live where comcast costs you taht much... mine only costs 35 a month for the business class at my house.. i pay close to 200 bucks have alllll cable channels and 2 hd boxes and the internet..

Yep it is a trend because they can.Time Warner hasnt made a new statement today so far, probably because they have changed stances so frequently the last couple of weeks everyone including them is confused.I would love to be in a Fios area but so far the only Fios we have in our region are just a few newly built, scattered communities .

Maybe we pay so much because we had adelphia before comcast bought them out? not sure but we have internet which is 55 the highest service for internet i know that, cable is like 120 thats all the channels and on demands etc..

I honestly can't see anyone using NEAR that amount of bandwidth, i get an allowance of 60GB/month but I've only come close twice.

I run a Shoutcast station I use close to that eay plus there are 2 computer hooked up to the internet here & we are both heay internet users any limit is just lame

Is that your parents that set that or your carrier? If its your parents, 60 GBs per month isnt too bad if its free :D compared to a company that charges
