Internet/ethernet issue

I am only downloading at 90kb/sec. I used to download at 300+kb/sec. I can't figure out why this is happening. I uninstalled and reinstalled the motherboard drivers for the ethernet controller. But it's so incredibly frustrating and I can't fix it!

Also... do you have unsecured wifi or WEP protected wifi? Because WEP is very easily cracked and unsecured is... well, unsecured. Someone could be leaching your bandwidth. If you have wifi id recommend using WPA2-PSK security.

Read the posts above you! Simply going by the speed of a given file isn't conclusive, you need to run a speed test. That server may just be running slow and/or has a download cap.

He just said his cable company switched him to a lower plan:P

I ran 2 speed tests and downloaded two big files. Everything was clocking between 70-90 kb/sec
