Hello everyone, I need some assistance. For the past 4 months, i have been trying to find a good, fast, stylish, portable laptop. I have taken 17" into consideration but would settle for something else if persuaded right. I have a couple choices and i would like it if you chose which one would be the best for my needs. I would like to play games like Fallout3/CSS/L4D/Crysis
and my budget is $1,000-$1,300. I will be using this for College as well and will need to pull it out during class to take notes.

Here are my choices.

5400RPM vs 7200RPM drives in a laptop will not make a huge battery usage difference, but it will make a difference. Besides the drive is easily upgradable.

If you are looking for a desktop replacement system you won't find huge battery life in most anyway. That said, the HP HDX18t is a nice laptop. I would second that one. For potability and better battery life, I would second the HP dv3515.

The 1GB of VRam in a laptop (especially on those 9650GTs) is wasted. There really isn't much of an advantage with those over a similar 512GB system. For gaming performance, the 9600m series isn't bad, but you would probably want to get something with a 9800m series or Radeon 4800 series chip. The Sager machine you have listed is a very nice unit. And, if you can find the Gateway 7805u at BestBuy still (the 7808u's sibling), it is a great deal for around $1100.
