Im not too tech savvy so im hoping i can get a hand in making this decision here. Im looking to buy a gaming rig around the 1000$ range and i think these are my best options

Its looking like the doghouse system in my opinion but then again i dont know what exactly i should be looking for. I play mostly MMO's like LOTRO and WoW which doesnt take much processing power but lately ive been getting alot of lag and crappy framerate on my 4 year old computer so its time for a gaming one. any input is appreciated, thanks!

I would recommend building one yourself.
It's a lot of fun and you'll get a much better computer for the price.
For a little over 1000$ you can get a core i7 rig.

There' guides on here with picture and all.
To answer the question the allienware is much better for the money.
Better cpu, mobo, gpu, and everything.

LOL, i thought i would never hear someone say that...:D but its true.

And yes, you could build a rig that may cost 800 at alienware, for lik 650$ or less.

So it would be worth it to build.

Or you can go with places like cyberpowerpc or ibuypower. they are also a good cheaper alternative.

They have some one newegg to buy...

ill link yah...

The one with the 8400GS will not max it out, but it is really cheap so you can just upgrade to a 120$ gcard so it can play at high settings.

like i said, im not too tech savvy so i wouldnt know the first thing about building a computer

Computers are pretty much plug and play components. Unless you're all thumbs and don't know how to install an application that you purchased at Best Buy - it's not anything difficult to build a PC.

It's more like putting together an 8 piece jigsaw puzzle - the only difficult part is figuring out where on the MOBO to plug in your fans - power supply - and case panel wiring but there's enough members on this board that can help you through that - or you can read the manual that comes with your MOBO to find the answer.
