Please tell me how can I get my old Thunderbird messages into my new computer?

A tech helped me get the settings right so I can receive and send emails, but all the emails from my old computer ... I would really love to have them on my new computer.

I transferred a lot of my files by using one of those small outside hard drives, but new Thunderbird doesn't appear to recognize the file...

or, maybe I didn't put the file in the right place, though I thought I was putting it in the Thunderbird (new) folder...

Help, please?

Okay, I found a folder that I already moved to my new computer that's the mail, and all of it is in it.

Only on my old computer I had a Local Folders file which is where my inbox was, and all the mail was under that.

My new computer isn't set up that way.

Can you help me have a "local folder"?

go to control panel and open folder options.

click view

under hidden files and folders select show hidden files and folders and then click apply.

go to your user folder and appdata should now be shown. It will be a translucent folder to show it is a hidden folder

:note:

It isn't in your mozilla folder

go to control panel and open folder options.

under hidden files and folders select show hidden files and folders and then click apply.

Okay, but I already have all the files in my new computer, only Thunderbird isn't recognizing them because in my new computer my mail doesn't go directly into a Local Folder...

How can I have a Local Folder like on my old computer?
