I've got a web site all made that I want to host. I'm currently using 110mb.com (which is free!) to host my site. Yet it has an 8MB file size limit and some of my videos are over 8MB, even when I put them in a zip folder.

It also requires my HTML files (mainly index) to be in the root of the main directory, mine aren't. If I move them, it'll break all the links.

Any ideas on what to do? Any alternative hosts?

Well the main page (index.htm or .html)) has to be in the root folder.

As fr your file limit problem, you're looking for a free website right?
Another way for your video would be to host them on youtube.

When you say root, you mean the very top folder, right?
Say my file structure is;

Web Site > Content > Images > Video > Music > Design

Have the HTML files in the Web Site folder? I've got them in their own folder and it works fine, other than on this hosting site. It's not really a problem, because I can still use my site, I just have to have an extra long url, which will go when I get a domain anyway.

A free one, I guess, Yeah. It's not a file limit problem, they cap the size of files you upload to 8MB and some of my video and music files are bigger than this, so I can't display them on my site.

YouTube would be easy, but it's not very professional. Plus, it'll have links to other videos and I don't want people getting distracted and leaving my site.
 
Hi Danny i can hook you up with a nice web package for free 10gb space and 100gb bandwith a month full cpanel and ftp for free, im not using it and have no plans to because i have 3 other packages just the same so if you are interested send me a pm :)

Let me know what name you want for the site bare in mind it will have .inx-gaming.co.uk after it but when you have bought your domain you will be able to park it and then you will have your own website address, when you have given me the name ill set it up and give you the cpanel and ftp details then you can do what you want with it.

I'm looking for a new hosting site, any suggestions? Preferably free, but don't mind spending a little a year. Thanks.
