Wifi Antennas

I can only pick up a weak wireless connection to my computer and was wondering if a wifi antenna would help boost the signal that I can pick up ?

yeah too right it would...the purpose of the antenna is to extend the range of your wireless network..So it would boost the signal u are picking on ya Computer

So I just plug the antenna into my computer via the usb and hey presto in increases the range on my computer, simple as that ?

ermm..well i would normally get a standard antena an stick it in to the Wireless router (saves me hassles of walking around with a USB antenna sticking out my lap top)..But yeah u could stick a USB in the computer and be browsing the web...simple as dat..

You need to have a wireless card that has the ability to have it's antenna replaced. Rosewill makes some USB wireless cards where you can remove the stock antenna and replace it with a larger one, the wireless card sells for around $15-$20, and the larger antenna is around $10.
