heya, i decided to buy a laptop, something that would work very nicely for gaming, i had decided for an asus m50 that would cost me around 1200 euros, but it was out of stock, so as my other possible choice, and for my disapointment, either i would buy this http://www.chipsite.pt/detalhe_produto.php?pr=4076 or this one http://www.chipsite.pt/detalhe_produto.php?pr=3989 thing is, they had a diference in price for around 1000 euros, well i wanted a laptop to last, and not be so easily replaced in the coming years, now i feel rather guilty, and i feel i may have wasted to much money, atm i am waiting laptop to reach my hands trough mail but... did i do a good choice in buying this laptop? I mean, is it that special that the price pays off?

well well, as far as gaming is concerned desktop is the best your money can buy,
its future proof, and cheaper than a laptops, apart from that the upgradiblity of laptops is a matter of concern, u can only upgrade ram and hard drive not more than that, in short laptops have lists of negatives for gaming....and they are not future proof at all.

Yea i know, i wouldnt have bought a laptop if it wasnt out of necessity, 1 i am moving out of home soon, so will take sometime till i take stability, and laptop is needed, 2 my current job, i am security, basicly i got 8 hours a day free of boredom, i need laptop to help me pass time at job, i am really concerned about my choice of laptop, is this a laptop good enough for the next 2/3 years? and how will it perform?

Well, that laptop should be able to handle most games at medium-high settings, the 9800M GTS is a decent graphics chip.

i still havent gotton the idea of gaming on laptops myself, but it does look like a good laptop!

not everyones situation is the same so granted a laptop suits your needs better than a desktop, but i will never buy a laptop for gaming

laptop

well, honestly i got a deskopt but this laptop will be a huge improvement because, my deskopt has 2 years alredy and , as only, 1.63Ghz Cpu dual core, 2gbs ram, windows xp, Nvidia geforce 9400 gt as grafic card, my principal game is world of warcraft, its what i play most of time, and i wanted a pc that would run wow with max grafics in perfect condicion because my pc in runs it in middle settings at 30fps, and 15fps in battles offcourse i will play other games when i am at work without net, just hoping will run at least gta 4

WoW should run alright, gta IV shouldnt have any problems as long as you dont crank the AA.

i am used to play games in my deskopt lower than medium graphics ^^" so...i dont think medium or high will matter for me, i will still enjoy it the same, as long as it has a nice defenition of stuff without my pc freezing or lagging

Oh, asus is awesome, my favorite brand of laptops. And im not sure about how asus runs it in your country, but in the usa if you register it within 60 days you get free accidental damage protection.
