I have a really old and crappy vivitar 3710 digi cam and can't seem to find any drivers for vista, my pc doesn't recognize the cam when i plug it in and I don't see it showing up in my F drive...

is there anything I can do to upload these pics?

Take the memory card out of the camera and stick it into any card reader. That's probably the easiest and the only way.

Do you physically have a memory card of some sort inside the camera or are you trying to access the internal memory.

yes i do, its a regular 128mb mem card that i can pull out of the camera...

i find it frustrating that the company doesn't have the proper drivers to install for their own product, there must be a way of bypassing this nonsense...

Well u might want to try drivers(available for vista) of similar model cameras of vivitar. Who knows that might help, coz firmwares of cameras and phones are generally similar.

Other wise, as suggested, buy a card reader. they are quite cheap. Or find any friend who has got one.

just plugin your cams memory card to a card reader and go on with your work, many times these readers come along with printers or you can buy them individually and good thing is they are damn cheap.

If you have a memory card, then get a card reader. Heck if you only need it once, buy one, download the images, then return the reader :P
