I had been using a dell inspiron 1500 and it crashed meaning would not charge or pick up any power source. Some how parts became missing how ever I had to buy a new computer because it would cost less then fixing the insprion. I transferred over to the dell latitude D 600. I need to access the insprion but the hard drive for the inspiron is too big for the latitude hard drive pocket. Is there any way i could access the inspiron hard drive and get information from it to put on the latitude?

Note- There is nothing wrong with the hard drive, it is the computer the hard drive is completely fine.

Hmm... Almost sounds like you have a bad power jack on the Inspiron. Interested in giving it away :P

Anyway, something like this is nice if you'll be doing a lot of repairs...

Or you could look into an external enclosure. From an Inspiron 1500, that should be a SATA drive

Also realize it'll work fine in a desktop with SATA.
I'm looking if there is a way to acess hard drive instead of putting it in a whole different computer i'd have to buy

And this would fit into the insprion hard drive?

I looked at the site and could not find any listing of which hard drive it would fit with.

It's only an IDE hard drive. You just plug the hard drive into the adapter and plug the adapter into the USB port of another computer.
