best ddr3 ram for £150?

They are both very good RAM, depending on your mobo I'd have gone for the OCZ (Asus tend to hate em). If it was any other brand then deffinately OCZ, the kit is clocked higher than the G.Skill.

You could have also got

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/6GB-...0)-240-Pin-Non-ECC-Unbuffered-CAS-7-7-7-20-1T

and had some money left over. That is PC3-12800 instead of the 10666, so clocked higher, not as high as the OCZ though, but it is corsair so lifetime warranty and great performance.

Even so, you made a good purchase :)

the mobo im getting is the asus rampage extreme so i guess the ocz would have been a bad buy for compatability reasons!

also when i think about it the dominator ram cooler wouldnt have fitted over the ocz ram either, a factor i didnt even consider until i just looked bacvk on this thread.

Not only asus, but XFX/EVGA/Nvidia Chipsets seem to hate ocz.
