How do you prevent Windows XP from dual booting?

I can't see how I can get rid of the second option I'm presented with at start-up and I'd like to know how. I've deleted everything in the useless small hard disk (or image - I'm not entirely sure) that I accidentally installed Windows on the first time around (because Lenovo is weird and likes to call the main hard disk the H:\ drive instead of C:\).

What version of windows? Sounds like you got multiple entries in your boot loader. If it is windows xp edit the boot.ini file and delete the unwanted entry for your OS selection.

Be careful because if you delete the wrong boot entry, windows probably won't boot up.

Lol. Sounds so 1996. Thanks anyways. If I did delete the wrong one by accident, though, I would be able to just from CD again right? Also, it is very obvious what OS is associated with which disk? And when you install Windows, does it do anything to the BIOS?

You can delete all the entries and input a new one that reflects which OS you want it to load.

Google should show you want to do:
