Vista PC Restore

I got this computer about 3 weeks ago from Dell. Having goofed up installing some programs and perhaps eliminating others as well as perhaps making some bad choices in adjustments this question; can I format the drive 'C', which has the OS, and reinstall the OS and going back, so to speak, square? And, just for future reference, when I'm asked to insert the "Dell Remote Access Disk".....where is it? I have looked. Where is "PC RESTORE"? Thanks

no idea what ur asking about going back to square. as for the dell remote access disk, its wherever u lost it and like for backups and stuff, u can do that through windows or theres programs out there for u to do it with.

Wait, wait, Repeat what you just said into something that I can understand, this time in English.
Are you trying to restore your computer to factory defaults? I mean, since you got it from Dell, You probably have the Recovery Disc, You also probably don't have any really important files to keep since your system is only 3 weeks old, so I don't know what you're asking, But I think the answer is Yeah, You can go back to factory defaults or square 1. Just insert your Recovery Disc, and restart. It should boot into the recovery console. Depending on your system, It might even backup everything to a folder called windows.old but to be safe, Backup any files you have. I really don't know what you were asking. =\
