I am looking for a cheap monitor but big enough to watch movies and what not. This vistron 37" HD is 1080i but it also says it is progressive scan. And on the comments people reccon they have used their ps3s/xboxs as 1080p. Does this matter at all. And is the price right? I am a novice at buying monitors any help appreciated!

the samsung is going to be the better tv in terms of picture but i dont think that samsung has pc input if you were intending to use it with pc. i know the 5 series version of that tv does have the pc input though and it also gives a very good picture i would know because i have one:D i would advise you to have a look at the 5 series.
