Hello, I need some help. I have a Dell Laptop and I ran a diagnostic test, I got an error code 0142, which I believe is related to the hard drive. My Dell warranty expired so I am thinking of just buying a new hard drive, and was wondering where I should buy it from or where I should go to get a new one installed. Was wondering if anyone has ideas?

I don't need a lot of space for the hard drive. I'm just using the computer to type documents and use the Internet.

What kind of laptop, need to know age/model to know if its ata or sata.
