Does CCleaner - clear your restore points?

I'm went to restore one of my older PC's to an past restore point - but when I did - I noticed I had no prior restore points. The only thing I can think of as a new application that may have gotten rid of Restore points on my PC is CCleaner which I've been using regularly.

Does CCleaner - clear all past system restore points? If it does - I might stop using it.

I stoped using Ccleaner a long time after I double checked it and found that it leaves just as much behind as it says it gets rid of. You can check the options in Ccleaner to see if system restore is listed in there. The better question is why such a need for system restore?

Once in a blue moon - My older PC will act up - to where I can't figure out what's wrong with it. Using Restore point has helped me fix a problem that I can't figure out.

I also like it when I install a program temporarily that I'm evaluating - but not sure if I'm going to keep or not. Better to uninstall and wipe clean - vs leaving behind some minor changes to the system files from a basic uninstall.

What does Ccleaner leave behind? just curious?

I would like to know too... curious also.

Ccleaner doesn't flush / delete restore points, by default or in the the user configuration.

System restore isn't the best thing to rely on when testing new software. Have a look at Acronis. I like the try and decide feature.
