I was wondering if this DVD Burner would be compatible with my Dell Inspiron 530 X86 based PC (Let me know if you need more stats)

Yeah, it should work fine, but you'd save a lot of money by getting an internal burner.

It means what he said, a Internal Burner is cheaper. Unless there is some reason you want to carry around your Burner.
I dont know a damn thing about PC's as far as the components and hardware go. I will look into an internal one though...if anyone can help me a find a cheap one that supports DL let me know please. I would appreciate it.

Well, and internal drive is one that you install inside the computer, which isn't as scary as it sounds.

The one I have does not support DL (Dual Layer) Thanks for links, I will check into them.
You can get a Sata or IDE Burner. I would get a Sata, smaller cable
