The shotgun is definitely a skilled weapon in CoD, especially in hardcore, since every other weapon can kill you from many times the effective range of the shotgun.

you got it:
-m40 does 75 base damage instead of 70 (like all other sniper rifles) when it has an acog scope on it
-when an ak47 has a rds or silencer on it with damage range goes from 30-40 to 20-40
-when a ak74 has a rds or silencer on it its hip accuracy goes down form a 7 to a 9 width
-when a g3 has a silencer on it, there is a delay in knifing which makes knifing impossible/useless
thats about it, there are so many that its doubtful they are glitches and more likely intentional efforts to balance the game out

hell yeah those who get loads of kills with the shotguns are skilles,Ive managed 3 kills with one i think lol,not in the same match though.
you have to be realy close to the enemy.

Game: Call of Duty: World At War
Favourite Weapon:
Gewehr 43 - Amazing weapon with Telescopic Sight (WW2 ACOG). Good Damage (2-3 hits per kill, depending where you hit), and a great starter gun. I prefer this over the SVT-40, or M1A1 Carbine.
Hated weapon:
Hmm... I will have to say M1 Garand. Many people like this gun, but I absolutely hate it. Very small clip, and is not worth unlocking.
Favourite Map:
I will have to say Dome. I love this map deeply, I can pretty much go 38 - 18 every game I play here with a Thompson.
Most hated Map:
Makin, this map is way too dark to play on. But, I have a solution... turn the brightness on your screen/television to max.

Game: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare
Favourite Weapon:
Skorpion with ACOG Scope. This gun is incredibly accurate with an ACOG. Perfect for any small to medium map. Although, it has a relatively small clip, and eats ammo pretty fast.
Hated weapon:
M14... This gun is just over run by all the automatic weapons in call of duty 4. It's alright for Hard Core, but is not recommended for any Core maps.
Favourite Map:
Bog, no reason, just love it.
Most hated Map:
Shipment. This map is wayyy to small even for 4 on 4. You pretty much have an 80% chance of getting spawn killed here.
