NVIDIA 8600 control panel error.

I had NVIDIA GeForce 8600 for a year now and never had this problem. When I click on the NVIDIA control panel, it says:

The NVIDIA display Panel extension cannot be created.

Possible reasions include:
Version mismatch. Reinstalling display drivers may solve this problem.

-It than shows that it's blank. I downloaded again but nothing. Is there a way to go back to the last driver version I had?

Did you completely remove the Nvidia drivers? Or just download newer version and try to install? YOu should always completely remove the old drivers to prevent any problems.
Uninstall and reinstall should fix this issue. Trey to nvidia removal tool at:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3233
Its call Nvidia File Remover (or NFR).
Remove it, I suggest from safe mode, and reinstall any version you had or new version.
