HD 4850 Price?

I was going to buy a sapphire 4850 512mb from newegg.com which was $99.99 but when I went to check today the price is like $150. Anybody have any clues of why this is happening? Also any idea on when this price will go down again?

It's not on sale anymore so you just have to find something else like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150337 xfx is a better company and it only $10 more but for another $10 you can get the 1GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150351 and it has free shipping. So either way it comes out to about the same I would go with the 1GB for $120with free shipping. This one is still $99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121253.
 
A 1Gb 4850 is kinda a waste. There'll be a slight increase in performance, but not really noticeable unless you're at uber high res. If you can spring it, obviously the 1Gb is better, but if money is real tight, you won't see much difference in the 512mb

The 512mb with shipping is around $118 the 1GB with free shipping is $120 I don't think somebody is going to go with the 512mb because it is $2 cheaper.

didn't notice the free shipping, just took a cursory glance at the pages. The 1Gb is obviously the better option then.
 
Please check also SAPPHIRE HD4850 1G GDDR3 PCI-E 2.0 (11132-17-20R). I think it comes in your budget and also nice. Check it on Dclstore, you will get it at £125.31 ex. VAT.

That XFX 1gb is 189.99 not 120
