OC my PNY Geforce 9800

PNY XLR8 VCG98GTEE5XEB is my model, its core clock is 550mhz and the mem clock is 1375mhz, these are at default. i could only get it to 605 and 1515 while staying stable, should i be able to get it higher?

Depending on how you're overclocking it, you may or may not be able to go higher. I would hope you would
be able to overclock it higher, seeing as i overclocked my 8800gts G80 from 513core/730mem to 650core/1000mem.

i was using, rivatuner for the OCing and 3smark 03 for testing stability, ill try again

Try and use ATiTool. That is what I used.

Try using evga precision, and try to get higher clocks on the core than the memory.

ok ill try that, most of the time when the core is to high the test just freezes, is that bad?

i didnt ask that right, most sites that show problems with stability just have specs of white, my card skips that and goes straight to all out failure, from an increase of 5-7mhz
