ok, so i need a good mobo that will work with a Phenom II

any suggestions?




oh and im trying to keep the price down.. this is frustrating

what price range, and to help me understand, what was rong with the ones i posted, i thought you would want an asus, anything HERE will work, but dont get open box

sorry for the multiple threads its just my first time building a pc and i wanna make sure i get it right

The original Phenoms, not so much, but the Phenom II's provide fantastic bang for the buck and a better upgrade path than the i7 line as intel is discontinuing the LGA 1366. Its about on par with the highest end Q9XXX's, slightly better or worse in a given scenario. The lower end processors are quite good as well (For the price) The Tri-core 710 is quite popular.
 
The Phenom II processors AMD makes are great quality.

Won't going with a Socket AM3 motherboard be cheaper since the Phenom II Tri-Core 710 processor is about $50 cheaper than any Socket AM2+ Phenom II processor?
