Two $600 Gaming Rigs

I think I'm going to go ahead and get the more powerful black series CPU, partially because I am considering overclocking in the future. I am not planning to use Crossfire however. Here is my revised build one more time. This will probably be the final build unless someone sees any problems with compatibility.

Also, I raised my cap to $700 more or less, and will be running either 64-bit Vista or 64-bit Windows 7.

Again, please post any problems you find. Even after looking it over, I am still paranoid that something might be incompatible. I appreciate the help!

Everything looks perfect There is nothing I would change and after looking it over everything seems compatible with each other. I see you picked the case I suggested I'm sure you will love.

I'd go for the three hundred over the beta, better overall build quality, not like the case has a side panel so you won't be seeing inside anyhow. Other than that looks great;)

I have used the three hundred in countless builds and love it but the lexa is a great case that come really close if not the same as the three hundred in quality. I have done over 150 builds using 75+ different case and the three hundred and the lexa are both on my top ten list. The lexa does have better cable management then the three hundred and better airflow after adding a couple fans. I usually don't like NZXT cases but the lexa is awesome even though it is made of plastic but for the price you can beat the case. Pluse the extra $10 would put him over his budget.

Hehe, its called the nzxt beta in that list. Caught you on that one:P Secondly, it just came out in january, so im doubting youve done too many builds with it... Also, the nzxt cases are pretty thin.. the antec case is much more solid. Id be surpised that a $40 nzxt case is sturdier than their $100 ones, because the few higher end nzxt cases ive dealt with were crap.

Well I only called it lexa because you did and it was less for me to type and your right I have only done 2 builds with it nothing compared to the 20+ builds I've don't with a three hundred but it is still a quality case. To tell you the truth the only reason I don't like the three hundred and the nine hundred is because everybody has one and usually people don't consider there other choices when looking for a case they just pick the one that everybody recommends and everybody always recommends the three hundred or the nine hundred because that's what the majority of people have and they can only recommend what they have used. I have used a tone of different case so I have ones to compare to others unlike people that have only done 3 or 4 builds.

Ive probably used most of the sub $100 cases out there on newegg, and the three hundred has some of the best airflow for the stock fans of a case. Going with the beta, you would end up spending $20 more just on fans to get good enough cooling. The antec comes with antec fans, antec makes excellent fans. Just my personal opinion on the subject though, plus personally i think the front of the beta looks like it came off a 1990's compaq...

Well I can't argue with you antec does have great fans and the three hundred does have great airflow. Yes you would have to spend an extra $20+ to get better fans that could match up to the stock ones of the three hundred. Yes your right the front of the beta does looks terrible but not that bad would make a big improvement if it had a door. Overall the beta is a good case the three hundred is a good case I love both cases and would rather have either one of them the the piece of crap I'm using right now. The beta has airflow two times that of a three hundred by putting 7 120mm fans in it yes it will cost you probably $50 extra but you can do it over time and a new fan every couple of months or so until you fill it up. I always use as many fans as possible my case hold 5 80mm fans plus I got 2 120mm fans and a 60mm in it held up with zip ties. Both case are great the antec does come better at stock but the beta has more room for fans which can eventually equal better airflow. Everybody has there likes and dislikes and me and you probably look for different things when it comes to cases or computer components in general but it's not up to us to decide for him just to help him understand what each case offers it's up to the op to decide.
