Wireless connection problem

Hello, I installed a wireless adapter into my motherboard about a few months ago. Now every once in a while my internet will just disconnect and then it says that there is no wireless device connected. I was thinking the product I have might be bad. Any ideas?

I assume this is a notebook? usually notebooks come w/ the wireless card installed....is this a replacement wi fi card? or are you inserting the wireless card into a PCMCIA slot on the side?

I don't think its a notebook. Sounds like a desktop to me.
