Lower This Build for the Same Performance?

What's about this combo? Which one is better?

They looked about the same to me, and the price is lower.
The other board supports 3 graphics cards, and has some better overclocking options and a higher end board, but its still a good board.
Don't let anyone talk you out of an i7 build!

If you have the cash, get the BEST you can buy...
For gaming, the phenom II is just as good and in some places better than the i7 actually.

You guys just keep me running in circle here lol. At least I'm learning a lot.

Future proof wise, which will last longer? I might just get him the AMD first since it is cheaper and if he doesn't like it, I can just buy it from him and get my own new build. (I'm using Core 2 Duo).

as for GPU: Should I get him 1 or 2?

Also, which Radeon 4890 is better. The One by HIS and the other by XFX?

XFX has a better warranty, i would go with two 4890's in crossfire, and maybe go for the better motherboard, so in the future he can add a third 4890 if he wants an upgrade.

My friend is so picky, I don't even want to hear from him again lol

I doesn't know AMN CPU, so I got him i7 920 and Foxconn Bloodrage instead.

glad it is over with, and thanks again for all the help.
