Computer out of comission for months now... Don't know what's wrong with it!

I am getting a 0x0000007 error every time I boot up normally. As soon as I load my XP profile, the blue screen of death appears. I tried going into safe-mode and it works fine. I tried swapping RAM and that didn't do anything. I tried a different hard drive and it hung at a black screen after the Windows start up logo (not sure why it did this). I tried scanning for viruses/malware and even did a system restore; this did not work.

Any suggestions? I thought it might be a faulty hard drive and if it is, wouldn't my safe-mode not work? I am really really stumped here.

0x0000007 not 0x0000007B?

I found this on 0x0000007B error messages... You can take a look at it if you want
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324103

From what this tells me It seems like a hardware issue

If your hard drive was bad I don't think it could boot into safe mode.

When you did your system recovery, did you boot form cd?

That's only if your OS is on that drive.

This is exactly what it shows:
