I have just made a OS that is like a program for kids and I just want people here to try it and tell me if I should keep working on it! There is no manual yet so it may be hard to use! That is why I have made a video to also show the Program!

I have made a page where you can test my new OS or at lest look at the images of it. Its just for testing right now!

Its just a small demo of what the real thing is so be sure to reed the full page before you download, there no manual yet but there will be when its done so for now you can play around with it!

dont worry about if we think it is, if you like doing it and you have an ambition go for it....

what you want to be askin is for ideas, not many people can say they have designed an operating system!

In that case its technicallly illegal alltogether according to the DMCA, not just for "less than one week".

Remove the music files, you don't want a copyright issue on something you're developing. I agree with the bomberboysk about the DMCA.. It doesn't matter what the time frame is. Anyway, I'd like to test it.. I'll d/l when I get home and give you some feedback.
 
The music files are just for testing it will be removed in the next version for shure! Thanks for that info and ya I have only tested in XP and I know Vista has errors with it but I am working on fixes for it! Also some might think its a full OS that you install but its a program that acts like one for kids.

I will make better styles and stuff for it but for now I will go on my server and remove the music from the zip!

EDIT: There music removed from zip now I don't have a problem with anyone using for more then a week!

I worked on it for over a year but now that its at this point it wont take long to finish it like maby 3 months! All the raw codes and testing them was the hard part!

Keep going...you never know what the next few years might bring. If it is for kids, I might give it a shot:D
 
So what exactly is this based on? Im assuming linux because it looks like your using KDE. Are you just using a dist editor to tweak some things or did you actually do it from "scratch" (from the linux kernal)?
 
I made it all from scratch and its a program not a OS its made to go on a usb and when the kid goes to any computer he puts it in and it starts up the program that is his own custume desktop to go! SO all the kids files are on the usb and can be used with the program! It also lets the kid use a computer with out messing it up or killing it!

So like a protable usb OS that runs off the curent os!
 
I'm still a little confused. So if it is a program, that means you don't boot off the USB? Also, what OS is it meant to run on top of?
 
Well its made and tested on xp and may work with 2000 and ME but has errors on vista and may on 7!

Its interface is the only part done when its done the fixes for other os's will be made!
