Why won't my PC work?

I have just recently finished installing all hardware into my new PC (see signature) and now have a monitor as well (Samsung p2250). I am unsure where to go from here though, do I connect my GPU up to the monitor and then when I turn it on I will be able to configure the BIOS? I also don't know if my MoBo has intergrated graphics.

All help is accepted with the kindest regards.

your mobo don't have integrated graphic card. BIOS is set to default, it should start without problem. Change it if necessary.
Just put your OS CD in and install it.

I can't put my OS cd in if nothing comes up on the screen.

I didn't fully understand yet, does your monitor has a problem? Or don't you know how to attach monitor to your CPU?

Monitor is fine because I have tried it on another PC. I don't know why it won't work on mine though. I think maybe I have the wrong cable.

I'm kinda confused. You built the computer yourself and dont know how to hook your monitor up, or if it has onboard video?

Pretty much. I don't know much about DVI etc. It's all kinda new to me. If we were speaking about VGA, I'd be happy.

Are you trying to use an adapter cord?

Is your graphics card properly seated in the slot?

Is your graphics card plugged in to the power supply?

You have both of the 6 pin PCI-E power plugs in?

Your monitor has DVI and VGA connections. Did the monitor come with its own cable. If it did and its a DVI just hook them up, if its a VGA cable you need to use the VGA to DVI adaptor that came with the video card, if it was a retail card it should have the adaptor.

I would look at the gfx card not being powered up enough to turn the screen on. Also make sure if your using Dvi your monitor is set to dvi and not analog or vise versa.

When you turn on the computer are you getting any beeps indicating something is wrong, if not then plug the monitor to the onboard gfx to see if that works if so then go ino bios and make the PCIe the default gfx choice. then turn off the computer and hook the monitor to the gfx card and turn back on.

That board has no onboard video, as stated above.

is there any 4 or 6 pin connecters on your motherboard or gpu?

Yeh, all connections are fine. My video card fan is spinning (dunno if that means it's certainly working), the keyboard I have plugged into it lights up so I know the motherboard is functioning. There is one beep from the motherboard speaker to show that it is POSTing. I have taken the memory out and the speakers beep, which indicates that the BIOS and MoBo are working. I don't know what could be the problem. My monitor works with VGA on other computers, but it doesn't work with my Dual Link DVI-D on my graphics card. I really need all help, thanks.

Really odd, say your getting a single good to go beep? Everything is hooked up right, card seated good, PCIe power connections good to go. Not getting a video beep error... Do you have another card you could try in it or someone that has one you could use? Or someones computer you could try your card in? Atleast that would let you know if it was the card or not.
