RAM Question

I recently bought two sticks of DDR1 PC-3200 400MHZ RAM and they seem to work in my computer sometimes, but other times I'll get BSoD's. My question is, if they are incompatible, why would they work sometimes, instead of not working at all like most stories I've heard?

Maybe you've got some bad RAM. Download Memtest and burn it to a CD. Boot to the CD. If your memory is bad, the bad addresses will show up in red.

It's easiest to test one stick at a time.

I would have already, but i have no burning drive or Floppy drive.
Is there anything else I can do?
