4890 questions

Hey guys,

I have two questions

1)Does removing the stock cooler to put an aftermarket one on void XFX warrenty?

From what ive read,as long as you dont damage the warrenty sticker on the back of the card your fine....and thankfully,this sticker does not cover any of the screws holding the cooler to the card :)

2)What cooler would fit and be the best in your opinions for my 4890?

Im looking to replace the cooler because its noisy and isnt very effective,my card right now idle is 57c :cool:

57c was my load temps on my GT :D
 
From what i understand, it is the same as evga is for warranty. As long as there is no physical damage to the card, and it is returned in original condition(eg- putting stock cooler back onto it), then your warranty is valid.

Your the same as me im looking for a new cooler for my ASUS ATi 4890 mine idles around 55c and the fan is a bit noisy aswell owell ill keep looking for us :D

So basicly if i have to send it back all i do it replace the cooler then...great.

That cooler you posted looks awesome and its at a good price too,However will it fit the 4890? it only says up to the 4870,not sure if the 4890 is longer or not?
