I'm wondering whether to upgrade my DirectX 9 to 10, I'm really wondering because a lot of people had problems with DX 10 and Battlefield 2, which I plan to keep playing for many years to come :)

What OS are you running? DX10 is for vista only...
or, you can google "the alky project" to get it on XP, some people say it works and others say it doesn't. Either way, you will need a DX10 graphics card.

Use the DX Update tool to get the latest version of DX9.

Like mentioned though,If you dont have a DX10 card or are still using Xp you cannot get DX10 to work,The Alky project does not work.

I have DX10 installed,And ididnt have any problems running BF2 or 2142.

you got told in another thread that the alky project doeswn't work, stop spreading false crap :P

...apart from what linkin said though, what they said :P

BF2 isn't DX10 compatible though is it, it was brought out with DX9.0c compatibility so it can't actually utilise DX9 can it. There would be no reason to upgrade unless you absolutely have to for another game.

What do you think about AA3 VS BF2? In order to use America's Army 3, I need DX10, but there's always BF2 Complete... I'll probably have to reformat the computer if BF2 is, indeed not DX10 compatible...
