well as above my overclocked ati 4890 performs the same in call of duty 2,world at war and call of duty 4...

why would a new game like call of duty world at war get the same frps as call of duty 2?

is there something a drift here?

can some one shed a light into if this is normal or is there a setting somewhere to unleash more frps?

thanx people

Yeah this is definitely not a problem of the games. This seems like a situation with your computer. The best way to get more FPS is to lower the detail quality that you are playing the game on. Call of duty doesn't have a 92 FPS limit because i've seen a Blackbird running 200 FPS. But it all depends on your processor and your video card....

Funky i have this exact problem....exept mine is always 91fps :D

Lol are you kidding? the 4890 is more than capable of running cod4 or wow maxed out.

It eats crysis on max settings its a beast.

it must be some sort of restriction...il research later.

yeh thats what i was thinking, at the end of the day i have my i7 920 at 3.6ghz and 6gig of 1444mhz ram so there is no bottle neck!

i was thinking of going crossfire but if there is some kind of frps limit on call of duty then there is no point

I'm pretty sure there is some limit i remeber playing waw and getting a constant 90 something fps. Tbh why would you need more than 92fps anyway your not going to notice anything:P

Because we cannot tell how many fps were getting in cod and we needz to knowz :D

Il do some research ;)

Maybe the 4890 is the problem seeing how you both have one and are getting pretty much the same thing. We need someone with another card to confirm it isn't the 4890. Just seems odd to me both of you are getting the same FPS with the same card.

i sit at a constant 91 fps. but in cod4 i get around 140

There'll be a line in your config that says something like "fps_max 92" or "max_fps 92". Try changing it in the console to something like 100 or so, the game does that so it the system still has free resources because eft to it's own devices the game would use 100% of what it would be allowed.

yeh that sounds about right.....

as for the person who asked why would we need more frps, its not that we need it-its the fact that if our gpu's have more to give then why not?

we did pay for the performance

Options>Graphics>Sync every Fram = no
then enable the developer console under game options.
Open the console (~) and type in com_maxfps 125

Other commands to help you know if anything is messing up is:
cg_drawfps 1
cg_drawlagometer 1

The engine runs the best going at 120-125fps
