Computer case to case transfer?

Thinking about taking the psu(antec earthwatts 500watt), mobo(asrock A780GMH/128M), vid card, and hard drive out of a hp pavilion a1730n and moving it into a antec three hundred case. Will this be ok to do, won't have to reinstall or anything after unpluging things from the mobo then pluging them back in?

You should be fine as long as you don't damage anything on the crossover. I have switched case many time and have never had a issue with something not working afterwords.

Just be careful with static, and the motherboard power button plugs, some cases/mobos have different colouring for them, so dont assume your system is dead if it doesnt turn on at first.

Yes it is that thin white book that you throw to the side when you take it out. Then later on complain about you can't figure out where things go

oooh that, i don't know where any of mine are i don't think

I have the important pages from my mobo one, like the bios and mobo layout, buta part from that no. And no, i didn't take them out seperately, Asus decided to give me some crappy manual which wasn't stuck together properly and half of the pages decided to fall out

back on topic though (i seem to be taking threads ot quite a bit today, sorry ) should be fine to do it, so long as it isn't like Dell and their "dell only" size components that aren't standard ATX sizes

I just go in with a flat head screwdriver and short out each pin until i find the one that turns it on, then I plug in the headers. It's much faster than digging the manual out .
