Hi, I'm gonna be getting an i7 soon. And on the box it says it comes with a fan and heatsink.

I am going to be doing alot of multitasking and using big programs like photoshop, flash, sonar, 3dmax, & dream weaver.

Will the factroy heatsink be good enough for me?

Here is the setup I'm getting.

does overclocking mean fiddling with the votages and thingys in the bios?
Because if so, no i wont be overclocking i never mess with the stuff in the bios.

yup.

What video card/ How many HDD are you going to run? you won't need 1000W PSU in most cases.

I am getting 4 video cards all Nvdia GeForce 8600 GTS, to run my 8 screens

and a 500GB and 1 TB hard drive

i wanted to get a 1000w just for future upgrades, why is 1000w too much? cuz i know u gotta hook up each 8600 gts to the power supply

The mobo you chosen support 3-way SLi

That dosen't matter it has 4 PCIe slots. He won't be using SLI as he plans to have two monitors hooked up to each card. If you have 3 cards in SLI you can only use 2 monitors for more then they you have to disable SLI.

but i dont think my 8600 gts supports 3way sli, only dual, ill have to check up on that.

Id like to try sli someday when i have more money. But i only play games maybe 1hr a month.

What does quadrophonic gaming mean. I found this on a site.
