Yes, Vista likes to show how much RAM is installed.

After SP1 Vista 32 bit shows how much memory is installed, other then just showing how much nothing else has changed.

Ok, my new stick arrived today. and it works. The problem is now, when i have both sticks in windows says i only have 2gb. CPU-Z says 3gb. MAXMEM is disabled is msconfig. I'll try restarting again.

EDIT: I tried my 2gb sitck in the other RAM slot and nothing in the first. When i booted up i got 1 continous beep from my computer. I tried with the 1gb stick, same story. It now appears that my RAM slot is dead. I only have 2 slots.
