Choppy/Low Frames When Playing Computer Games

I use my laptop to play computer games like warrock, combat arms, and maybe a few racing games.
I'm into fps gameplay for I mainly play warrock.
When I play I get frame droppage and my guns and all start to shoot slower then they should be. I know that it's only happening on my screen but it prevents good performance.
The laptop doesn't have to much junk on it and I do keep it running as fast as I can with all the little maintenance, tweaks and program closers.
I need to know if it's my graphics card, processor speed, or perhaps I need more RAM in order to functionally run this game.
I can't figure out a way to attach or post my system specs without going over the attachment or text limit. I'm new to this forum so perhaps someone knows how to get around this so i can share it with everyone.
 
I see that WarRock doesn't have high system requirements. You should be able to run it pretty good with any modern (1-2 yr old) computer...

Processor: AMD Turion(tm) 64 x2 Mobile Technology TL-58 (2CPUs), ~1.9GHz
Memory: 894MB RAM

Not to sure how to find motherbaord info and ram type.
I know that warrock doesn't need a super computer to run as it should and that's why I need to figure out what's causing me to not be able to play.
My friend plays with absolutely no frame lag at all and he's got 512 MB of ram.
 
It's definitely not the RAM, but DDR2 would definitely be superior to DDR. I've never even heard of that processor before you mentioned it. But for a dual-core it's a definitely low-end processor. If you can upgrade, I would definitely upgrade. I can help you with that if you want. And your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit/ Video Card)?

Is it even possible to upgrade the processor on a laptop? If it is I have no problem doing it and I'd be more then grateful for your assistance with that.

My video card is an ATI Radeon X1200 Series
 
It is indeed possible to replace a processor, but just how much you are willing to spend depends on you. Here's instructions with illustrations :) I need to know what type of Power Supply you're using as well, I don't want to "under-power" your computer.


*But I'd suggest building or buying an entirely new computer... Even a low end computer (about $450-600) would be better than the one you have right now. Just saying. But if you really want to keep that one, you might have to replace almost everything...

Well if my friend is playing fine on 512 Mb im sure 1GB is surely enough for my purpose.
You make me feel so poor and all saying that upgrades aren't availble for my computer haha

I don't think you understand that this is a laptop he is using. Seems to me like everything you have mentioned is referring to a desktop.

Forget everything Stoic Sentinel has told you and lets start from the beginning.

Download CPU-Z and post what it says about you memory,motherboard, and graphics card. You don't have to post every little thing just the brand and type and for the memory post the speeds and if it is DDR2.

Also the brand and model of your laptop would help this should be somewhere on the casing of the laptop.

In most laptops it is not possible to upgrade the components because they are soldered to the motherboard it self. You can upgrade the RAM but I don't think it would be necessary unless you want it just to make it run a little better.

Your laptop should be able to run the game smoothly even if on low settings. It could be that your GPU is not good enough since your CPU and RAM seems OK.
