What CD/DVD burner would you say is the best; he says SATA sucks and to go with IDE what do you think?

ATA (or IDE Connected ) DVD Drive is perfectly OK
Sata is best for Hard Drives with their higher speeds

PCI ports are the ports in which you add addon cards like a new Sound Card or Video Card or a PCI Modem etc (in PCs)

No SATA doesnt suck. I still use IDE DVD drives in mine. But only because they have been good drives and havent gave me any problems to replace them. But all my new builds I use all SATA drives. Building a new computer now, get SATA.

two more questions sorry for all this but I want to make sure everything is in good order.

*Which CPU fan is compatible for this card? I couldn't find any blue LED's with AM3 compatibility.

*Will I need to buy a video card?

No, I was saying ATA only, of which is the IDE (connection)
SATA is probably not required.
Anyway either will do I suppose, I just feel that A T A works better with some DVD Writing softwares, but they may have updated all these programs since last I checked
