Need your info

I have a Asus A7N8X motherboard and wanna know what the best possible upgrades for video card and cpu are wanna make this one extreme machine lol. currently has a xp 3000+ cpu

[Laquer Head]

I would get a new motherboard!

I think you have AGP for video card on there. You will want a PCI-e motherboard for any decent card.

Socket A cpu is old now--upgrading to new mobo, cpu, ram, will yield the results you want.

[kiwisteve]

can you recomend a good one?

What is your overall budget?

[kiwisteve]

anything considered no real budget

[kiwisteve]

if you were to build a mean machine what would you use?

Be careful what you recommend. That CPU will not work on that board.
Plus, Rosewill PSU's don't come highly recommended.

Some of these exact prices may vary due to older links, but you get a
ballpark.

The Rev 1.0 board you initially posted from Newegg will not accept that processor.

The Rev 2.0 board you just posted will, but Newegg doesn't have one.

"Mean" and "Budget" are two different things.
